Abuse and Trauma
Abuse and Trauma, where do I start here? Well, if you are a victim of ANY sort of abuse or trauma which includes, but is not limited to, physical, sexual, rape, emotional you have my sympathy. Having said this now what? I want you to take a breath and relax, then just read on. I am going to take you on a journey of possibilities and things to think about.
You may be asking yourself the following questions:
Where do I get help releasing the pain and the memories?
Why can’t I move past the issue?
Do I live like this for the rest of my life?
So many times, a person will play in their head all the steps they want to take, they think they need to take and what the outcome will be. They want justice and pay back against the person or persons responsible for affecting their life in such a negative way. When a person experiences abuse or trauma for the most part they are in a constant state of survival mode just to get through any given day. They are trying to organize themselves in a way to deal with the life in front of them and the responsibilities that come with that life and pushing the pain and effects of the past down, so it does not affect the future life. And thus, the circle starts with a draining of your future and feeding the past you want to get past.
So, what do you do? You do what most people do, and you go to therapy. You go to talk therapy, group therapy, join support groups and you take the pills for anxiety, depression, bi-polar and any other label they have hung on you. Then after being in therapy for weeks, months and in a lot of cases years as well as taking a bunch of pills you STILL are not the person you want to be.
Now the question is, can hypnotherapy work for you?
The short answer is “YES”, it can help you to one degree or the other. There are conditions of course but so long as you WANT to get better, move on, and live the best future you can then I can in all probability help you in many ways.
